What do you do when you arrive at the E.R.?

Are you sick?

Well, if it's serious then you might need to go to the E.R. If it's life threatending then someone needs to call an ambulance.

Once you've been collected by an ambulance the paramedic will take all of your vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate) and send that information to the charge nurse, or the nurse that is in charge of the E.R. Based on those vitals and your condition, the charge nurse will assign you to an "area" of the E.R.

Didn't arrive in the E.R. by ambulance? Then you will be placed in triage where a traige nurse will asses the seriousness of your condition and which "area" to place you.

ABOUT US

I was given a great oppurtunity to work with people in the career I'm interested in through the Honors Mentorship Program(HMP). The HMP is tied into many small and large businesses throughout all of Hall County and allow students to intern in any career so long as that specific location is ok with having an intern.
